Eco store jar swap provides handy way to reduce packaging

Glass jars are a wonderful option for your pantry. Glass is infinitely recyclable, unlike plastic. And it is in abundance in our lives. However, recycling glass is almost as energy intensive as making new glass, only saving 10% of production energy (as opposed to recycling aluminum which saves 95% of manufacturing energy). Therefore, glass is a great candidate for reuse! And we always suggests to reuse before recycling.

We have a jar swap in store, and we encourage you to "take a jar, leave a jar". At the moment we have been inundated with very kind "leave a jar" offers and have piles of jars ready to be used again. So we encourage you to use the jars in the shop for either food or cleaning products. They're a great reusable option if you don't have any containers with you when you shop.

Glass jars may be used for orders when you place an order for click-and-collect or delivery. Find out more about this service here, or shop the online store here.
